My Favorite Ranch Dressing Recipe

By Dawn Arnold
Prep time:5 minutes
Cook time:none
Servings:Makes 2 cups of Ranch Dressing

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup Mayonnaise (I use Duke's Mayo)
  • 3/4 cup Buttermilk (Doesn't matter if it is whole milk or fat-free)
  • 1/4 cup Sour Cream
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Dill (or less if you prefer)
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper (or to taste)
  • 1/2-1 teaspoon Kosher Salt (season to your taste)
  • Pinch of Celery Seed (Can use Celery Salt and not add any additional salt)
  • Optional: 1-2 teaspoons of Dried Parsley

Instructions

  • Add all ingredients to a jar or bowl and mix until all ingredients are well combined.
  • Store in the refrigerator. The dressing will thicken as it sets up in the refrigerator.

Notes

I use a mason jar when making my ranch dressing. I just put all of the ingredients in the jar, put the lid on top, and shake it until all of the ingredients are combined. Then I store it in the refrigerator and I always look at the best-by dates on my dairy ingredients to determine how long the dressing should last.
