Concord Grape Freezer Jam

Ingredients:

1 Lb Concord Grapes

3.5 cups Sugar

1 box Original Sure Jell

3/4 cup Water

 

Directions:

  • Wash Grapes Place in blender or food processor and blend until smooth
  • Stir the sugar into the fruit puree until mixed well and let it sit for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally
  • In a saucepan, add the water and the pectin powder. Stir to dissolve the pectin powder
  • Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
  • Boil 1 minute
  • Remove from heat and combine the grape mixture with the pectin mixture and stir.
  • Remove any foam from the top of the mixture
  • Pour into clean jars
  • Put the lid on the jars and leave at room temperature for 24 hours
  • Place in refrigerator or freezer
  • Last in refrigerator for approximately 3 weeks and 1 year in the freezer Recipe yields five 8 oz containers
